Rheinmetall Insurance Services GmbH (RIS) is a service-tendering enterprise of the Rheinmetall Group. As a subsidiary of the Rheinmetall AG, Rheinmetall Insurance Services GmbH is an affiliated insurance consultancy company for the Rheinmetall Group and its affiliated companies, as well as an independent broker to third party clients.
As an insurance broker pursuant to Section 34d Paragraph 1 of the German Industrial Code, Rheinmetall Insurance Services GmbH is legally registered in the Brokers' Insurance Registry in accordance with Section 11a of the German Industrial Code at the Duesseldorf Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
History
Rheinmetall Insurance Services GmbH, a private limited company, was established in 1985 as Jagenberg Versicherungsvermittlungs-GmbH (insurance broker) and in the course of the Jagenberg Group's expansion as well as their acquisition by Rheinmetall AG, changed its company name to RJP Versicherungsdienst GmbH (insurance broker).
Since 1997, Rheinmetall Insurance Services GmbH has been providing insurance brokerage services under the name Rheinmetall Versicherungsdienst GmbH. The deeper integration in the holding in 2001 was emphasized by the relocation from Neuss to Düsseldorf.
At the start of 2011, the company moved into new premises in the lighthouse on Rheinmetall’s former production site in Düsseldorf-Derendorf, in the immediate vicinity of Rheinmetall headquarters.
Since May 2016 Rheinmetall Insurance GmbH is based in the new Rheinmetall Headquarter.
